Dr. William Brown
M.D. – C.C.F.P

Dr. Brown is originally from Calgary where he completed his Undergraduate and Medical School training. He grew up spending much of his free time at his Grandparent's cabin here in the Columbia Valley. This time spent enjoying the rural lifestyle and his connection to the valley led him to complete his postgraduate residency training with the UBC Rural Family Practice Program. After residency, he has worked as a rural family practice locum and hospital based physician in different BC communities before moving full time to Invermere with his Wife in 2019. In his free time you will find him Mountain Biking, Skiing, or doing anything fun that he gets invited to do!


Dr. Edward Schaffer
M.D. – C.C.F.P EM

Born and raised in Southern Alberta, Dr. Schaffer began his career in Medicine as a firefighter and paramedic. He went on to complete 3 years of a Human Nutrition Degree at the University of Alberta before earning his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Calgary. Dr Schaffer completed a post graduate residency program in Family Medicine from the University of British Columbia in Nanaimo. Joining Chisel Peak in the fall of 2016,  he has built a reputation of providing compassionate and evidence based care. Dr Schaffer has additional training in Emergency Medicine , and has a special interest in surgical and interventional procedures, health promotion and prevention. He is joined in the valley by his supportive wife and son.


Dr. Michael Walsh
M.D. – C.C.F.P

Dr. Michael Walsh studied medicine at The University of Alberta. After graduation in 1992 he discovered his passion for rural medicine in the East Kootenays. He has a family practice in Invermere with a focus on chronic disease management. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. He is passionate about all things outdoors and enjoys snowmobiling, skiing, hiking, mountain biking to name a few and usually is accompanied by his Black Lab sidekick Lula!


Dr. Keith Weber
B.Sc. – M.D. – C.C.F.P

Dr. Weber was born and raised in Saskatchewan, one of the flattest places on earth, yet developed a passion for gravity fed winter sports. After completing a degree in Physiology, he was accepted into medical school at the University of Saskatchewan. To pay for medical school (and the occasional ski trip) Dr Weber enlisted in the Canadian Forces. Once completing residency training at the University of Calgary he was posted to Canadian Forces Base Gagetown where he served as a General Duty Medical Officer, and eventually Base Surgeon. In 2009 Major Weber was deployed for 9 months to Afghanistan as the Officer in Command of the Canadians working at the NATO Trauma Hospital in Kandahar Airfield, where he was also one of 5 trauma team leaders. Once retiring from the Canadian Forces Dr. Weber worked full time emergency medicine in Fredericton, New Brunswick until his passion for the mountains finally drew him to the Columbia Valley full time. He has been living in the community with his family since 2015, and when he is not skiing at Panorama or in the backcountry, on the lake surfing or paddling, he can be found training or coaching in the local jiu jitsu, judo, and parkour clubs.


Dr. Roberta Creighton
M.D. – C.C.F.P

Dr. Creighton is new to the Chisel Peak Clinic, but has been living and enjoying the Columbia Valley for several years while working elsewhere. Having grown up in Edmonton, she moved to BC to complete her medical training and has lived and worked in small towns ever since. She enjoys spending time with her busy family, cooking, running, mountain biking, downhill and Nordic skiing.


Dr. Stefanie Falz Mclellan
M.D. – C.C.F.P EM DTMH

Dr. Mclellan grew up in Germany and moved to Canada with her parents. She studied medicine at the University of Alberta and completed her residency in Olympia, Washington. She recently completed a point of care ultrasound fellowship. She has previously worked for Médecins Sans Frontières in South Sudan and Iraq. She is an instructor for Wilderness Medical Associates and a member of Columbia Valley Search and Rescue. She enjoys spending time in the mountains with her husband and border collie.


Dr. Joyanne Krupa
M.D. – C.C.F.P

Dr. Krupa recently relocated to the Columbia Valley. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UBC and completed a Doctor of Medicine at the University of Calgary in 2016. She did postgraduate training with the UBC rural family practice program. She has a passion for rural medicine including emergency care, addictions medicine and trauma informed care, procedures, dermatology, breastfeeding support, and pediatrics. She loves to ski, climb, trail run, and hangout with her family.
